HOW TO LIVE A PRODUCTIVE LIFE

Hello Greatness Partner, welcome to DanielAjumobi.com – the place where people in pursuit of success come to get actionable insights. Let’s talk productivity. In today’s world of excessive distractions, it is so easy to confuse movement with progress, and doing alot for productivity. So, I decided to share few tips to help you comprehend your status and most importantly become more productive.

A tree is said to be productive based on its fruit production capacity. Being productive is basically being result oriented. To be productive is to be successful at everything you do with physical proofs. The magnitude of the result you have to show determines how productive you are. A productive person is one who has results to show regularly for the time and effort invested in any given task. Here are a few hacks that can enhance your productivity.

STOP MULTITASKING

Don’t attempt to do too many things at an equivalent time. It is very hard or almost impossible to be productive with too many things on your table. For example, you can call one who finishes a full plate of food a good eater but if you leave him with so many plates of food at the table and he begins to have a spoonful of each, he most likely will not totally finish one particular plate because he was multi-eating (smiles) … multi-tasking shortens your focus and thereby reduces your productivity on a given task. To maximize your potential and resources on a task, avoid multitasking, and focus on one project at a time. If you have too much on your plate like the young man described above, simply delicate.

FIX YOUR TO-DO-LIST

Rather than multi-tasking, it is better you prioritize. Plan your day and set your goals. If you can meet up with your daily goals then you can call yourself productive as you move ahead to weekly, monthly and yearly goals. If need be, set up a time table or an alarm, anything that’d serve as a reminder so you won’t have to drift. The popular saying remains “he who fails to plan, is certainly planning to fail”. Sit down with a pen and paper, list out your “wants” and “needs”. Note the things that require immediate actions, the ones to be done during the day, the ones to be done at night etc. List them on a scale of preference, this will help you do the right things at the right time and help you achieve your goals faster.

USE YOUR TIME WISELY

If you want to know the worth of a millisecond, ask an athlete. Time should be utilized wisely just the way we spend money with budgets and maybe somewhat better because when time is gone it can’t be regained unlike money. Avoid anything that’s a waste of time, anything that will not encourage you to produce desired results should be avoided, avoid things like social media if possible. One of the greatest distractions of this generation and time consuming tool is our phones and its connection to the internet, so if you can, turn off all notifications. If you can, set schedules to go online. This helps you know where every of your time goes (like a time tracker) and it’ll help you maximize your time. You don’t need to shut down your “life” because you are trying to be productive but you can plan your time well enough to have a productive day.

Okay …  I believe you will do as stated above, so … Have a productive day!
